Jaguar Land Rover case study
Jaguar Land Rover & A-SAFE
Jaguar Land Rover asked A-SAFE to supply a high-performing traffic protection solution with a focus on minimal damage and uniform aesthetic, to replace insubstantial steel barriers
Customer
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is the UK’s largest car manufacturer, with headquarters based in Coventry. Jaguar Land Rover designs, develops, manufactures and sells both Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
Situation
The automotive brand needed to address recurring issues with steel barriers which were permanently deforming beyond repair after impacts with forklift trucks, causing damage to concrete and flaking from corrosion. JLR also wanted to ensure that they had a uniform aesthetic to provide brand consistency across multiple new state-of-the-art facilities.
Solution
A-SAFE manufactured, supplied and installed Single Traffic+ Barrier throughout the automotive facility, replacing underperforming steel barriers with long-lasting and robust combined pedestrian and vehicle barriers to segregate and protect. The barriers also ensured protection for state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
Our barriers are designed to flex on impact, dissipating energy through the barrier before reforming back to their original shape, avoiding floor damage and repair costs. The non-scratch, non-corrosive, non-repaint properties of the system create huge costs savings on maintenance, downtime and manpower for an ultra-low maintenance solution.
