Unilever case study
Unilever & A-SAFE
A global goods company required a solution to segregate pedestrian entrances and vehicle shutter doors situated alongside each other, and asked A-SAFE to provide a robust protective solution
Customer
A transnational consumer goods company co-headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands and London. Its products include food, beverages, cleaning agents and personal care products, available in 190 countries.
Situation
In the customer’s busy manufacturing site, they required pedestrian and vehicle protection to safeguard vulnerable shutter doors for vehicle access and pedestrian doorways, which were positioned alongside each other, meaning the two streams of traffic had the potential to dangerously interact.
Solution
A-SAFE manufactured, supplied and installed a combined protection solution around both doorway edges, physically separating pedestrian and vehicle entrances through the middle, ensuring any vehicles that strayed from their route would be safely deflected by the barriers and leaving a safe walkway for pedestrians.
Specifically engineered for the food and drink industry – our products benefit from stainless steel base plates, no ingress points and a hygienically wipe clean exterior. They’re also non-toxic and anti-corrosive, and available in a convenient freezer grade derivative that withstands temperatures as low as -30°C.
