Our story

2021

Representation of A-SAFE in Slovakia

In order to meet demand around the world, we are also in Slovakia from 2021, where we continue our mission to create unique systems that keep people safe and increase efficiency.

2019

Launching a technology division

Immediately following our work on PAS 13 and independent accreditation from leading testing house TÜV Nord, we set about developing the revolutionary new RackEye system that can monitor damage to warehouse racks and provide detailed damage reports to operations managers. Another successfully managed challenge for us was the design of our barriers that would withstand even low temperatures. That's why we designed Memaplex Sub Zero, which not only provides all the advantages of our systems, but also works at temperatures down to -30 °C.

2017

Continuation of revolutions - PAS 13

We strive to be leaders in every aspect of workplace safety. Therefore, in close cooperation with the British Standards Institute (BSI) and the largest blue-chip companies in the world, we have put together an expert steering group. We subsequently sponsored and were the technical authors of PAS 13. This is a code of practice to be applied across all sectors and industries. From polymer extrusion to structural engineering, technological innovation to codes of practice.

2015

A line of barriers of the third generation

The constant search for new solutions and innovations has caused us to be on our third generation of guardrails. But we continue to raise the standards year after year, adding more technology, more technical design and more safety features. What we do not change, however, is our unique three-layer polymer material Memaplex™, the production of which is based on stretching and aligning the molecules of the material to create a unique lattice structure in the polymer. This grid provides a built-in memory that allows the material to bounce back to its original shape in the event of an impact. Our products are also unique due to our patented bonding technology, which uses a three-phase energy absorption system that reduces impact energy through the barrier. This ensures not only the distribution of impact energy, but also the protection of the floor or fasteners.

2001

Invented Flexi barrier

A hole in the market was filled with her. Until then, we too suffered the consequences of steel barriers, which we often had to change, paint and repair the floor under them. We therefore decided to develop our own plastic fence concept. Our unique polymer material has ensured that, after rigorous scientific testing, the resulting safety barrier we have developed is a revolution in workplace protection.

2000

Expanding

It didn't take long for our polymer technology to be noticed more and more by brands. Coca-Cola approached us with a request to create more durable pallets. So we adapted our production and created the patented Rivlock polymer pallet. Pallets for Coca-Cola started our expansion into solving other business problems. Because a pallet on its side looked like a fence, it sparked an idea in us and changed the future of our business forever.

1994

Progress

Thanks to our knowledge of polymer technology, we were able to produce not only polymer film covers, but also to invent a new solid polymer core, thanks to which we were able to make film protection even more effective. Our polymer core is scientifically designed and tested to safely support the extreme weights of the film roll and maintain its integrity under stress and impact. It was also a huge boon for food and beverage establishments.

1984

The beginning

Establishment of A-FAX Films for the production of polyethylene. Sourcing state-of-the-art polymer technologies from around the world fueled the creation of film packaging, which launched the future of this company.
